A CHC S92 Helicopter has declared an emergency over the Banff / Macduff Coast. The chopper is showing on Flight Radar 24 as squawking on Emergency frequency 7700.

The helicopter turned around on route offshore and is currently heading back to Aberdeen.

A CHC spokeswoman said:  “An aircraft safely returned to Aberdeen airport this afternoon after a cockpit warning light illuminated during a flight.  The crew followed standard procedure and requested a priority landing.  The aircraft made an uneventful landing and will now be thoroughly inspected by our engineers before returning to service”
