Oil and Gas People has learned that a crewmember on board a Technip vessel has been tragically killed in an undisclosed incident today at Invergordon.

It is believed the vessel the Deep Energy was demobbing and mobbing to head for the Kraken oil field.

Unconfirmed reports say that the incident involved a forklift and happened between the vessel and they quayside.

Technip issued a statement to Oil and Gas People: “It is with deep regret we can confirm that as the result of an incident on quayside at Invergordon a crewman from the Deep Energy vessel has tragically died.

“the incident happened this morning at 8.30am, the emergency services attended and an investigation is in progress. Relatives have been informed and Technip is offering support for family, friends and colleagues.
