The Norwegian PSA has given Aker BP consent to use the Deepsea Nordkapp mobile drilling facility to plug production wells on the Jette field.

The consent covers permanent plugging of two production wells on the Jette field in the North Sea.

The work is scheduled to begin in May 2019 and is expected to last for 57 days.

Deepsea Nordkapp is a semi-submersible drilling facility of the Moss Maritime CS 60E type, owned and operated by Odfjell Drilling.

The facility was issued with Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) by the PSA in April 2019.

Deepsea Nordkapp is a 6th generation dynamically positioned harsh environment and winterized semi-submersible drilling rig on a two-year lease to Aker BP. OKEA was subleased the rig last month from Aker BP for short duration.
