Schlumberger Appoints Helge Lund to the Board
Helge Lund, former chief executive of Norway’s largest oil company, Statoil, and after that, UK’s BG Group, has been appointed as a board member of another giant – Schlumberger, the world’s largest oilfield services company.
Schlumberger’s board of director appointed Lund as a new director on June 1. He will serve as a director until the next annual general meeting of the company’s’ stockholders and will be subject to election by the vote of stockholders.
The Schlumberger board expects to appoint Lund to one or more committees of the Board at a later date.
As a non-employee director, Lund will participate in the non-employee director compensation arrangements, and will be eligible for a pro-rated portion of the company’s annual non-employee director compensation.
