Petrobras CEO Sees No Significant Impact from U.S. Lawsuit, DOJ Case
Petróleo Brasileiro SA will not have to pay a significant amount to settle a U.S. Justice Department probe or a class action lawsuit over a corruption case at the Brazilian state-controlled oil company, Chief Executive Officer Pedro Parente said in an interview on Wednesday.
The U.S. legal woes will not “cast a shadow” over the implementation of a five-year $74.1 billion investment plan, Parente said. Petrobras, as the company is known, also plans to release terms of fuel-pricing policies soon, Parente, said, without giving an exact timetable.
