North Sea FPSO on Track for Deployment
FPSO Armada Kraken disclosed on Sunday that it is on track to deliver a Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel to Armada Kraken Pte Ltd, a wholly owned unit of Malaysia’s Bumi Armada Berhad, following the Saturday naming ceremony of the Armada Kraken.
The harsh-environment FPSO unit was designed for operations in the North Sea and built with a 25 year lifespan without dry-docking. It will be deployed to the Kraken field in the UK sector of the North Sea. The vessel is equiped to handle a peak fluid rate of 460,000 barrels per day (bpd), 80,000 barrels of oil per day, 275,000 bpd of wayer injection and 20 million standard cubic feet of has handling. The FPSO has a storage capacity of 600,000 barrels.
