Dril-Quip to Ship $40M Worth of Subsea Hardware for Indonesian Offshore Project
U.S. based fabricator of offshore oil and gas facilities Dril-Quip has secured a $40 million order in Indonesia.
The company will, via its subsidiary Dril-Quip Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, supply subsea drilling and production equipment and related services to Kangean Energy Indonesia Ltd.
Kangean is a contractor for SKK Migas, which will use the Dril-Quip equipment for the development of its Terang/Sirasun/Batur gas fields project located offshore Indonesia. The project is located offshore, approximately 90 km north of Bali at a water depth of 90 meters.
Dril-Quip will provide subsea wellhead systems, subsea tree systems, subsea control systems and other equipment for the project.
According to the company the contract was awarded in June. This means the sixth month of the year was a rather successful one for the offshore fabrication firm, as it in the same month said it completed a fourth subsea tree installation on Premier Oil’s Catcher field development, in the UK part of the North Sea.
The installation was done at a depth of 299 feet. Dril-Quip has been manufacturing subsea and control systems for the Premier Oil-operated Catcher field project since the company was awarded the contract back in 2014.
