BP Suspends Super Puma Flights
BP Joins Statoil and Suspends North Sea Super Puma Flights
This has just been sent to BP employees in the North Sea:
“As you are probably aware there has been a helicopter incident in Norway involving a CHC H225 aircraft. Confirmed details are currently scant.
Whilst details are being confirmed BP North Sea will put a temporary hold on flying the H225. We will be working contingency options to ensure minimal disruption to BP’s operation and OILS will be liaising with the installations affected to notify changes.”
The news comes as the authorities in Norway confirm that multiple bodies have been recovered following todays Super Puma crash.
