Offshore Wind is a growing market that presents diversification opportunities for Scottish Oil and Gas Workers.

Thanks to the Transition Training Fund – the £12 million fund established by the Scottish Government to support people affected by redundancies in Oil and Gas – Maersk Training can provide funded training to those who meet the eligibility criteria. With 80% of delegates moving into employment after completing the courses, spaces can quickly become limited.

Maersk Training are now actively recruiting individuals who are of Scottish domicile and have been affected by, or are at risk of redundancy from the Oil and Gas industry or supply chain and are considering retraining for a new career in the growing offshore wind sector. Maersk Training are offering an initial diagnostic assessment to determine the most successful career pathway and courses for you.

Maersk Training provides market leading training and support alongside essential industry-specific skills and knowledge, both practical and theoretical. In order to access the industry, Maersk Training can provide the mandatory certification required, dedicated career advice and guidance and direct introductions to employers in the wind industry.

For those wishing to find out more, we are hosting an open day on Thursday 29th September 2016 from 11.00am – 3.00pm at Maersk Training, Prime Four Business Park, Kingswells Causeway, Kingswells, Aberdeen, AB15 8PU.

Anyone wishing to attend is advised to bring a printed copy of their CV with them on the day. Previous open days have attracted up to 400 people and the day is expected to be busy. Further open days will be held across Scotland in the upcoming months.
