Aberdeen ERRV Celebrates 20 years’ LTI Free
VOS Supporter reached a major safety milestone in May, with the vessel and her crew notching up an impressive 20 years without a lost-time incident (LTI).
“Completing 20 years’ LTI free is a remarkable achievement for the Captains and crew who have served on VOS Supporter over the last two decades. Not many vessels in our industry achieve such a fantastic milestone. It underlines the strong commitment we have to an excellent safety culture on board, delivered through first-class teamwork and adherence to our Leaders in Safety Programme”, said Craig Harvie, VOS Aberdeen Managing Director. “On behalf of all at Vroon Offshore Services, I congratulate the crews – past and present – for their professionalism, hard work and constant focus on safe operations.”
Hot Tip
VOS Supporter is a Class-B emergency response and rescue vessel (ERRV) with the capacity to rescue up to 300 survivors. Purpose built in 1983 in Norway, she is presently deployed in the central North Sea. Her current charter to Premier Oil (then E.ON) commenced in April 2011. After supporting the ENSCO 100 jack-up rig, she is now supporting the Voyageur Spirit FPSO (floating production storage and offloading vessel) in the Huntington field, where she is firmly fixed until next April.
Celebrations with the crew and client will take place during the vessel’s crew change in Aberdeen at the beginning of July.
