New pictures reveal extent of damage to West Franklin Helideck after helicopter spins during landing.

Oil and Gas People reported last week on a CHC S92 that span on the deck of the West Franklin platform after experiencing unexpected control responses whilst landing.

One eyewitness advised how the helicopter took gouges out of the deck during landing.

The helicopter with tail number G-WNSR was later shipped back to shore aboard the Marine Supply Ship Ben Nevis and has not returned to the air since the incident.

Investigations are on-going and details of the cause of the incident remain unclear. Oil and Gas People published an article looking at potential causes.
