Lukoil Raises Output at Caspian Sea Field with New Well
Lukoil has completed a third well, with a horizontal section measuring 1,217 m, at Vladimir Filanovsky field in the Caspian Sea. According to the Russian operator, the well is producing around 22,000 bopd, which brings the field’s total production to about 66,000 bopd.
The field, which was discovered by Lukoil in 2005, is the second commissioned by the company in the Russian offshore sector of the Caspian Sea.
The field’s ?1+?2 recoverable reserves, under the Russian classification, are estimated at 129 million tons of crude oil and 30 Bcm of gas.
