Total Norge AS, operator of production license 618, has come up dry on wildcat well 1/5-5, located in the North Sea.

The primary exploration target for the well was to prove petroleum in Upper Jurassic reservoir rocks (Ula formation) and the secondary exploration target was to prove petroleum in Upper Triassic reservoir rocks (Skagerrak formation).

The well encountered approximately 260-foot thick sandstone in the Ula formation with moderate to poor reservoir quality. The reservoir only contained traces of gas and was classified as dry.
