Petrofac bags Total extension in North Sea, secures 150 offshore jobs
Oilfield services provider Petrofac has been awarded a three-year contract extension by Total E&P UK for the Alwyn and Dunbar platforms in the Northern North Sea.
Petrofac stated that the contract, worth in the region of $100 million, comes with two one-year options and it has been reconfigured with Petrofac providing an enhanced range of offshore services.
Petrofac also noted that this award builds on a relationship with Total which began in 2005 to support the Alwyn and Dunbar assets, and will secure over 150 offshore jobs.
Walter Thain, Managing Director, West, Petrofac Engineering & Production Services, said: “Over the last decade we’ve developed a great understanding of the Alwyn and Dunbar assets and have worked with Total to deliver significant improvements to both safety and production efficiency.”
Total E&P UK owns 100% equity of their Northern North Sea hub centred on the Alwyn Area which consists of the Alwyn North platforms, the Dunbar platform and a series of subsea fields tied back to these installations.
